Shin Dojo

Among our visions was to create a world-class training center for AIKIDO and to support the local community. Toward this end, we have planned and built a new facility, the "Shin Dojo." The program here is to be modeled after that of the Iwama Dojo in Japan.

The Shin Dojo is a world-class dojo facility that includes air conditioning, showers, locker rooms, increased mat area, uchideshi facilities, and space for seminars.

Many environmental features have already been incorporated into the site design.   The site plan has won a low-impact design innovation award from EPA.  The building design also has many conservation elements.   You can read an informative newspaper article on the building design and construction -> here.
